OPENING DAY IS MAY 7th!

The Onancock Market is hosting a Food Safety Class on Wednesday, May 4, 2pm, at the Historic Onancock School on College Ave., Onancock.
Laura Strawn, VA Tech Extension Specialist of Produce Food Safety, along with members of her lab, will focus on safe practices in the process of harvesting and bringing food to the market as well as selling and offering samples at the market. In addition, they will address safe practices at home regarding cleaning produce that has been purchased in grocery stores and at The Market.
Food safety is of the utmost importance to the management and vendors of the Onancock Market and we  encourage vendors and interested consumers to attend this very informative session. The class is free and refreshments will be served.
